Responsibilities

The Animal Control Division has the responsibility of keeping track of the animals within our community.

This service is not just limited to dogs and cats; they will assist with the removal dead animals from public right of ways. Dead animals on private property shall be removed by the owner.

Facilities

The City has a temporary holding area for animals if needed; this location is not intended to be used as an overnight holding facility. Animal Control Officers will deliver stray and untagged animals to the St. Louis County Animal Control Facility.

Note: If there is an animal control issue such as loose dog, cat etc., outside of these hours, please feel free to contact: St. Louis County Police Department at 314-889-2341 and they will Dispatch a County Animal Control Officer to assist you with your complaints or concerns.
