Rescue is a major service that the Fire Department provides. The Department has heavy rescue equipment that is used most often at vehicle accidents where the doors of the auto may be damaged to the point that they won’t open in the normal manner.

The Paramedic / Firefighters treat any patients, while the other firefighters use the rescue equipment to remove the occupants of the car.
